PETALING JAYA: Sunway Property has broken ground on its latest joint-venture high-rise development Sunway Lakehills at Taman Molek, Johor Bahru. With a development value of RM1.1bil, Sunway Lakehills is part of the 88-acre Sunway Lenang Heights masterplan.
The groundbreaking ceremony was officiated by Sunway Property southern region chief executive officer Gerard Soosay, joint venture partner Albert Goh, Feng Shui master Louise Loh, Sunway Property southern region chief finance officer Lee Gek Ling, southern region marketing and sales assistant general manager Michelle Lu Chen Hoon and the project team.
“Sunway Lakehills within Sunway Lenang Heights represents our continued momentum in Johor, where we are strengthening our presence across key growth corridors - from Johor Bahru City Centre to the Second Link via Sunway City Iskandar Puteri,” said Soosay.
Sunway Lakehills will be fronting a 30-acre lake and enjoys unblocked panoramic views of the Johor Bahru skyline and adjacent golf course. The twin-lake garden – jointly enhanced by Sunway Property and Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru (MBJB) – now features a boardwalk, jogging path, basketball court, and playground, cementing its role as a vibrant lifestyle landmark in Taman Molek.
Sunway Property said the development adds to Sunway’s strategic portfolio in Johor, joining the RM4 bil mixed-use development Sunway Majestic at Yahya Awal and RM2.6 bil Bukit Chagar Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) projects. Sunway Lakehills’ official launch is targeted for Q4 2025.
