PETALING JAYA: Gamuda Bhd’s property arm Gamuda Land has formally executed the acceptance of the award for a significant land parcel at Chencharu Close, Yishun in Singapore.
Gamuda, via its wholly owned subsidiary Gamuda (Singapore) Pte Ltd and joint-venture partners Evia MCS Pte Ltd and H108 Pte Ltd, has secured the 29,450 square metre Chencharu Close leasehold site from Singapore’s Housing Development Board for a consideration of SGD1.012mil (RM3.305mil).
The win underscores Gamuda Land’s continued partnership with Evia and H108, who bring deep local expertise and proven market knowledge.
Combining its regional development expertise with valuable partner insights, Gamuda Land is in a strong position to create a project that deeply resonates with Singapore homebuyers while significantly enhancing Yishun's community vibrancy.
Located strategically within the mature northern corridor at Yishun, the precinct is projected to yield 10,000 new homes by 2040, ensuring long-term housing demand.
The land is earmarked for mixed-use development comprising 875 residential units and 135,625sq ft of commercial space, anchored by commercial facilities such as a hawker centre and bus interchange.
The project will align with Singapore’s Green Plan 2030 by targeting the BCA Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy (SLE) Rating, reflecting Gamuda’s ESG commitments and its dedication to building sustainable, enduring communities.
Gamuda has maintained a presence in Singapore since 2015, successfully undertaking both infrastructure and property projects. Its ability to deliver popular residential developments is proven by the fully sold GEM Residences and OLÁ projects with a combined gross development value of RM4.4bil.
Furthermore, major contracts like the Cross Island Line MRT stations and tunnels as well as the Gali Batu Bus Depot underscore its strong infrastructure credentials. Gamuda, along with partners Evia and H108, now aims to deliver a new project that seamlessly integrates with Singapore’s urban framework through close coordination with agencies like the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and Urban Redevelopment Act (URA).
