Developer launches affordable homes project in Putra Heights

THE Harmoni 1 affordable homes project comprising 1,700 apartment units in Putra Heights, with a selling price between RM170,000 and RM270,000, attracted many interested buyers at its launch.
The project, by Sime Darby Property, is a development under the Rumah Selangorku housing scheme by the state government.
Sime Darby Property managing director Datuk Jauhari Hamidi (pic) said Harmoni 1 has a gross development value (GDV) of approximately RM359mil and will have four apartment blocks of type C1 (approximately 243.84 sq m) and type D (approximately 304.8 sq m) units.
Facilities include a five-and-a-half storey car park, a multipurpose hall, two guard houses, and green space for community wellness.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali called the collaboration between the state government and Sime Darby Property a smart partnership.
“Putra Heights is a fast developing area with a strategically located transportation hub to provide mobility to residents.
He also warned developers against building affordable homes in haste, which may turn into slums.
“I have ticked off some developers who built low-cost housing in haste and the houses were of low quality,” he said.
Also present was Housing, Building Management and Urban Living committee chairman Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad.
Applicants are required to register at www.simedarbyproperty.com/harmonirumahselangorku, complete an online registration form via the Selangor Housing and Real Estate Board (LPHS) website at ehartanah.lphs.gov.my, and send a physical copy of the form along with required documents to the developer for further processing.
Rumah Selangorku is open to all Malaysians (including non-Selangor natives) aged 18 and above, with a household income between RM3,000 and RM10,000.
Applicants must not own any other type of property in the state.
Harmoni 1 Putra Heights is the second affordable home project by Sime Darby Property; the first was launched in 2015 in Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang.
