KUALA LUMPUR: Property developer Berjaya Land Bhd (BLand) celebrated the grand opening of the Tropika Bukit Jalil Commercial, the commercial element of The Tropika Bukit Jalil, its 6.5-acre freehold mixed development recently.

The Tropika comprises healthcare, fitness as well as food and beverage, with representatives of tenants such as Jaya Grocer, Osso Bone Care founder Calvin Shun, Anytime Fitness director Jayagobi Shanmugam and Oomph Café & Bar founder Vince Chow present at the event.

With a GreenRE certification in line with its emphasis on sustainable development, the project consists of nine units of double-storey shop lots and 11 retail units.

“The Tropika Bukit Jalil demonstrates BLand’s continuous commitment to building not only homes but also a thriving community that gathers people from all walks of life to experience a truly inspiring lifestyle for our buyers,” BLand and Berjaya Corporation Bhd deputy chairman and joint group chief executive officer (CEO) Syed Ali Shahul Hameed said.

BLand executive director Tan Tee Ming explained that with the current tenant mix and diverse offerings for the Bukit Jalil community, the Tropika Bukit Jalil Commercial will be the next hangout spot and an ideal place to live, work and play.

“Bukit Jalil is one of the few locations in Kuala Lumpur where property prices have been holding up well and we are confident The Tropika Bukit Jalil will deliver exceptional value for our buyers,” added BLand CEO Datuk Abdul Rahim Mohd Zin.

The Tropika is easily accessible via major highways such as the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP), Puchong-Sungai Besi Highway, Shah Alam Expressway, Maju Expressway (MEX) and New Pantai Expressway. It is also accessible via public transportation, including the Rapid KL bus and Light Rail Transit train services (LRT).

Oomph Café & Bar founder Vince Chow, Anytime Fitness director Jayagobi Shanmugam, Osso Bone Care founder Calvin Shun and Trendcell Sdn Bhd CEO Adelene Foo were also present at the ceremony.
