KUALA LUMPUR: Matrix Concepts today (May 29) launch its newest project in Australia called M333 St Kilda which is set to be a modern residential landmark in Melbourne. With a gross development value (GDV) of A$75mil (RM230mil), the low-rise boutique apartment block is located in St Kilda, a trendy Tribeca-style bayside suburb popular for its beach and bohemian lifestyle vibes.

Located 6km south-east from Melbourne’s Central Business District, the freehold M333 St Kilda is sited at the corner of St Kilda Road and Blanche Street and is a mere 15-minute to walk to the beach and conveniently, a tram stop is right at its doorstep.

"M333 St Kilda is our third project in Australia, following M Carnegie and M Greenvale that have been fully sold since they were launched in 2016 and 2019 respectively. Due to the good response of our previous projects, we are confident that there will be demand for M333 St Kilda," said Matrix Concepts chairman Datuk Mohamad Haslah Mohamad Amin at the exclusive unveiling of M333 St Kilda.

Also present at the event were Matrix Concepts founder and group executive deputy chairman Datuk Seri Lee Tian Hock, group managing director Ho Kong Soon, chief executive officer Leong Jee Van and Matrix Development (Australia) Pty Ltd managing director Lee Jon Wee.

The construction works of the project will start at the end of the year and the project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2024, said the Matrix Concept founder.

He was confident that M333 St Kilda would perform well as its location was ideal and the suburb is likened to the Bangsar of Kuala Lumpur, a highly sought-after and happening hotspot.

Jon Wee pointed out that St Kilda had been voted as one of the top five suburbs for young professionals, and the area has many of Melbourne's tourist attractions including the 100-year-old Luna Park, St Kilda Pier, Palais Theatre and Esplanade Hotel.

Being a hugely sought-after locality by those who emigrate from the Asia Pacific region some years back, St Kilda is now coveted by young East Asia professional immigrants, making it the most preferred suburb among the 25 to 35 age group of its estimated population of 22,000.

The 8-storey low-density residential apartment comprises74 units with ground floor retail space designed specifically for a well-suited grocer and a specialty bakery café. The uniqueness of M333 St Kilda is envisioned for a modern-day balanced living environment especially so during this post-pandemic time where work from home trends become increasingly common, said Jon Wee.

Much thought has been put into the overall M333 St Kilda design and concept as Matrix Concepts Australia worked together with RotheLowman, the award-winning architect. Space, natural light and airiness as well as greenery were emphasised for the well-being of its residents and dwellers - translating into large sliding glass doors and windows with louvres and winter gardens for certain units plus the greenery surrounding the exterior of the building.

In addressing the current community needs for dedicated workspace for conference calls, meetings and private functions, M333 St Kilda has a range of communal areas such as a double-volume ceiling Co-Working and Co-Living Lounge on Level 1 as well as a private dining area with a fully-equipped kitchen on Level 5. Other facilities include a fitness studio, outdoor dining and BBQ garden.

Layout-wise, there are four types of units being offered consisting of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom and the penthouses (two units with different built-ups) with a starting price of A$569,000 onwards and come with one or two car parks depending on the units. Built-up per unit ranges from 684.58 sq ft to 2,106.50 sq ft. For more information, contact 012 2187383, 019 883 4943 or visit 333stkilda.com.au.
