KUALA LUMPUR: Pahang Aerospace City Development Bhd (PACDB) and GreenRE Sdn Bhd formalised a strategic collaboration to embed measurable sustainability standards into the development of Pahang Aerospace City (PAC), strengthening the project’s ambition to create a connected, future-ready and sustainable economic ecosystem in Pahang.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed at the Fostering Possibilities: From Net-Zero Vision to Future Economy: PAC Strategic Partnership and Collaboration Ceremony which was officiated by Pahang state investment, industrial development, science, technology and innovation committee chairman Datuk Nizar Najib who represented Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Diraja Wan Rosdy Ismail.

The ceremony was held in conjunction with International Sustainability Week 2026 at MITEC where Pahang Aerospace City was one of the main features at the GreenScape: International Green Innovation Exhibition.

“This collaboration reflects Pahang’s commitment to ensuring that sustainability remains an integral part of future development. As we continue to attract high-value investments and advance strategic initiatives such as Pahang Aerospace City, it is important that economic growth is accompanied by responsible environmental stewardship. The partnership between PAC and GreenRE demonstrates how innovation, industry and sustainability can work together to create long-term value for the state, investors and future generations,” said Najib.

“GreenRE will support PAC in moving from net-zero aspiration to measurable implementation by embedding recognised sustainability standards across the planning, development and future operation of Pahang Aerospace City,” added PACDB chief executive officer and managing director adjunct professor Nurazmi Abas.

“It reflects our shared commitment to embedding sustainability from the earliest stages of development. Pahang Aerospace City presents an opportunity to demonstrate how major industrial growth and responsible development can advance together. By integrating GreenRE standards as the city develops, we can help ensure that sustainability is reflected in how its buildings are designed, assessed and operated while showcasing how Malaysia’s home-grown green building expertise can support competitive, resilient and future-ready industrial ecosystems,” said GreenRE Sdn Bhd chairman Datuk Seri FD Iskandar.

Also present at the ceremony were Pahang Aerospace City Development Bhd managing director Datuk Najmi Razak and GreenRE Sdn Bhd executive director Ashwin Thurairajah.
