PUCHONG: NCT Group today marked a significant double milestone — the groundbreaking ceremony for phase two of its flagship NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP) in Selangor, alongside the launch of its maiden RM1bil Sukuk Wakalah Programme. Maybank is participating in the first tranche of up to RM390mil in unrated sukuk.
With a gross development value of RM2.5bil, NSIP phase two will expand on the success of phase one, featuring larger plots and enhanced infrastructure for the high-technology, logistics and manufacturing sectors. NSIP phase two is being built within the Integrated Development Region in South Selangor (IDRISS) and completion is set for 2029.
“Another key milestone has been achieved today with this ground-breaking. Given the scale and expectations of this project, we are determined to ensure that each phase is completed well within its timeline as we continue to shape the nation’s industrial future. This next chapter brings us closer to realising a smart, sustainable and globally competitive ecosystem that will elevate the sector,” said NCT Group founder and managing director Datuk Seri Yap Ngan Choy.
The ceremony was held at the Movenpick Hotel and Convention Centre KLIA, Sepang. It was officiated by Selangor State executive councillor for investment, trade and mobility Ng Sze Han. It was also attended by Kuala Langat municipal council president Hasry Nor Mohd and district official Rohana Nawawi.
