KUALA LUMPUR: Mah Sing Group Bhd (Mah Sing) entered a strategic collaboration with hospitality operator MapleHome to introduce professionally managed serviced accommodation within its upcoming Johor Bahru mixed-use development, M Grand Minori.
The agreement was signed by Mah Sing chief executive officer and executive director Datuk Voon Tin Yow and MapleHome managing director Danny Hor. Under the partnership, MapleHome will provide hotel-style management and hospitality services for selected units in the development while also offering M Grand Minori homeowners the chance to have their properties professionally managed. The partnership is positioned to meet rising cross-border demand in anticipation of the Johor-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link’s completion.
Voon said, “Our collaboration with MapleHome represents a strategic step to expand the value proposition of M Grand Minori. As Johor Bahru evolves into a dynamic, cross-border hub, there is a growing appetite for flexible, well-managed living options. This partnership leverages MapleHome’s hospitality expertise to elevate our residents’ and investors’ experience while reinforcing M Grand Minori as a benchmark for modern city living.”
Hor added, “We are delighted to partner with Mah Sing, one of Malaysia’s leading developers to introduce professionally managed serviced units within M Grand Minori. The project’s strategic location in Taman Pelangi, close to the RTS Link and surrounded by mature amenities positions it perfectly for cross-border commuters and travellers. Together, we aim to deliver hospitality experiences that blend comfort, convenience and technology.”
The partnership aims to deliver hassle-free property ownership with comprehensive services, including housekeeping and in-house maintenance. The arrangement is designed to appeal directly to busy urban professionals, cross-border commuters and investors, according to the parties.
M Grand Minori, a freehold mixed-use development, is strategically located just 3km from the upcoming Bukit Chagar RTS Station, capitalising on the impending cross-border link. The development features 41 lifestyle facilities and incorporates sustainability-focused elements with its provisional GreenRE certification underscoring Mah Sing’s commitment to green and energy-efficient design. Phase 1 will consist of a retail podium and two serviced apartment blocks offering various layout configurations.
