PETALING JAYA: Tropicana Corporation Bhd (Tropicana) strengthened its governance efforts through a collaboration with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), following its achievement of a four-star FTSE Russell ESG Rating under the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia (F4GBM) Index Series in December, 2025.

Held at Tropicana Golf and Country Resort on June 10, 2026, the MACC-led workshop brought together 23 employees from relevant departments to strengthen workplace integrity and governance practices. Topics covered included integrity in the workplace, conflict-of-interest awareness, fraud prevention and corporate liability, alongside case studies to improve practical understanding.

“Tropicana began its ESG and sustainability journey in 2016, guided by our three ESG pillars of people, planet and partnership. Over the years, we have grown from strength to strength. In 2025, we achieved a commendable four-star FTSE Russell ESG Rating, a testament to our ongoing commitment to connecting communities, forging futures and redefining the art of living,” said Tropicana ESG Unit head Serena Lim.

“To reinforce our governance framework, we have updated our Anti-Corruption and Bribery Policy in line with the latest Malaysian regulations. Together with our ESG, human resources and whistleblowing policies, these are accessible via the Tropicana Employee Portal to ensure transparency and accountability across the organisation. Tropicana remains committed to continuously strengthening its ESG and governance practices in line with evolving practices and regulatory requirements,” she added.

“During this workshop, we observed that Tropicana has put in place the following policies, such as anti-corruption, whistleblowing and ESG. With this in mind, we prepared interactive subjects and elements relevant to our key topics. The registered participants actively engaged in case study presentations and practical exercises to strengthen integrity culture,” shared MACC private sector branch community education division superintendent Mohd Ihsan Anuar.
