Buyers will undoubtedly have a tougher time getting loans approved as banks will tighten their loan approval criteria, he said.
“This is inevitable as banks need to review the list of high-risk industries due to Covid-19. More companies will be marked as high-risk companies. And many buyers are holding back due to their perception that the property price will drop further, signalling that it will be a good time to buy,” he said.
He also pointed out that hot properties among first-time homebuyers are the affordable ones priced below RM300,000 like PR1MA, Rumah SelangorKu and Rumah Wilayah homes.
