PETALING JAYA: Radium Development Bhd (Radium) has launched Radium Hospital @ Ayer Keroh, formerly known as A’Famosa Specialist Hospital, marking the property developer's first healthcare facility under the newly established Radium Healthcare Sdn Bhd (Radium Healthcare).
Located adjacent to the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC), Radium Hospital @ Ayer Keroh is a tertiary-level medical facility designed to address the growing healthcare needs of communities in tier-two towns. Scheduled to be operational in 1H 2028, the hospital is the core of Radium Centricity, a proposed 7.1-acre integrated development built around health, wellness and well-being. The development will eventually incorporate residential and commercial components, supporting the hospital with ancillary healthcare businesses and lifestyle conveniences.
At the official launch, Radium group managing director Datuk Gary Gan said: “Our venture into healthcare is a natural extension of our mission to serve Malaysians from all walks of life. Just as we have provided quality housing solutions in the property sector, we are now committed to offering the same level of reliability, compassion, and excellence in healthcare.”
Radium Healthcare chief executive officer Dr Arun Kumar said: “Our vision is to create a healthcare system that is inclusive, ethical and adaptable. Radium Hospital @ Ayer Keroh represents the first step towards building a network of community-focused hospitals that meet the highest clinical standards while remaining affordable to the public.”
Radium Hospital @ Ayer Keroh will house Centres of Excellence in traumatology, cardiology, infertility and neonatology, addressing Melaka’s most urgent and evolving health needs, from highway trauma to chronic heart conditions and fertility challenges. The hospital will serve a diverse patient demographic, including middle to high-income patients, insurance patients, corporate panels and medical tourists, with a strong focus on delivering accessible, holistic and high-quality care.
