PETALING JAYA: Radium Development Bhd (Radium) has broken ground for Radium Hospital @ Ayer Keroh, currently known as A Famosa Specialist Hospital, its first hospital under Radium Healthcare.
Held as a closed-door event, the ceremony was attended by members of Radium’s board of directors, senior management and key personnel of the hospital. The event follows the official launch of Radium Healthcare and Radium Hospital @ Ayer Keroh in May and signifies the beginning of construction for the 140-bed tertiary care facility.
“This groundbreaking represents more than the start of construction—it marks our commitment to building long-term value through essential services that improve lives,” said group managing director Datuk Gary Gan.
The hospital will be managed in partnership with M Life Healthcare Sdn Bhd and led by Radium Healthcare chief executive officer Dr Arun Kumar.
“Radium Hospital is more than just a facility—it is the start of a healthcare network committed to patient-centred care, advanced technology and equitable access,” said Dr. Arun. “We are here to build not only hospitals but a healthcare ecosystem that supports long-term community wellbeing.”
With the launch and groundbreaking completed, construction activities will now progress in line with the target to begin hospital operations by 1H2028.
