KUALA LUMPUR: Radium Development Bhd (Radium) officially unveiled its premier branded hospitality venture The FACE Chancery Hotel, which will serve as a key component of its integrated mixed-use development, Chancery in Ampang.
This marks Radium’s first venture into the hospitality sector. The four-star hotel will occupy Levels 10 to 14 of the 51-storey tower, with a total of 145 rooms across Super King, Queen, accessible and connecting configurations.
Under the agreement, The FACE Hospitality’s scope covers the entire development lifecycle, spanning early-stage brand positioning and design planning through to operational flow and market alignment. The partnership allows Radium to leverage an existing loyal customer base and proven brand equity within Kuala Lumpur’s competitive hospitality landscape.
The hotel represents a substantial RM135mil investment, reflecting Radium’s commitment to expanding its portfolio. This corporate move forms a key pillar of the Group’s broader strategy to establish reliable, long-term recurring income streams that complement and balance its core property development business.
The operations of the hotel are anticipated to stabilise by the third year of operation, with a projected occupancy rate of 55% to 65% (for the first 3 years). It is projected to generate annual revenue of approximately RM20mil (by the 3rd year).
Radium managing director Datuk Gary Gan Kah Siong said Chancery was always conceived as more than a residential address. The hotel brings in a different demand cycle for corporate travellers, tourists and extended-stay guests and that activity strengthens the overall development. For Radium, it also marks a deliberate shift toward building recurring income that complements our property business over the long term.

Designed to appeal to a multi-demographic market, the four-star property will offer a comprehensive suite of premium lifestyle and business amenities. This hospitality component complements the broader vision of Chancery as a well-connected destination where living, working and leisure experiences come together. Additionally, a 10,000sq ft lifestyle park anchors the community at ground level, providing a welcoming shared space for residents and visitors to gather and unwind.
In a strategic shift from conventional city hotel layouts, guestrooms will feature larger-than-average floor plans. This spatial flexibility is intentionally curated to meet the requirements of corporate executives, leisure tourists and extended-stay visitors seeking long-term accommodation.
The hotel will also lean heavily into modern guest technology and corporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards.
Meanwhile, the Chancery development will feature hybrid SOHO units that offer the flexibility to work from home or to operate as a business address, serving owner-occupiers, entrepreneurs and remote workers alike. It will also be a pet-friendly development.
Another appealing feature is that Chancery is located approximately 500m from the proposed MRT 3 Tasik Ampang Station. When completed, the rail link will strengthen connectivity for residents, hotel guests and retail visitors. Chancery is scheduled for completion in Q1 2028 with The Face Chancery Hotel targeted to open in 2028.
