PETALING JAYA: Malaysians are flocking to Southern Klang Valley’s newest hotspot, Gamuda Cove, drawn by the township’s mindful placemaking bringing together natural attractions.

These include the 1,111-acre Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands, heart-pounding outdoor escapades like the Goosebumps Rope Course and panoramic viewing experiences at the Cove Aerobar, Discovery Park, with a footfall of more than 17,000 visitors since October.

These amenities are complemented with commercial vibrancy in the Heart of Cove, the 60- acre nucleus of Gamuda Cove, making the nature sanctuary and smart city a growing destination for prospective home owners and adventure seekers alike. Little wonder Enso Woods and Townsquare are seeing strong uptakes of 100% and 80% respectively.

Engaging experiences

“Guided by our core town-making principle, when we get the places right, the town works, Gamuda Land has invested in placemaking for Gamuda Cove, leveraging on its location in Southern Klang Valley as the gateway to and from the southern states, as well as its close proximity to Kuala Lumpur International Airport. When people come and see our place, they get a feel for it and want to be a part of it.

“This placemaking strategy, along with the township’s strong connectivity profile, has driven home seeker interest in our residential launches while encouraging business owners to invest in commercial offerings like Townsquare,” said Gamuda Land chief operating officer Aw Sei Cheh.

Enso Woods is the township’s residential precinct featuring garden terrace homes designed for post-pandemic needs. Launched earlier this year, its first phase comprises 203 double and triple-storey units with built-ups from 1,713 sq ft, with a focus on Japanese minimalist-inspired aesthetics inspired by the Japanese decluttering concept of danshari

Addressing growing desire among Malaysian home seekers for connections to nature, the precinct includes private green terraces and gardens of up 1,500 sq ft, along with 195 sq ft rooftop terraces for selected homes. This integrated greenery brings home owners and residents closer to Malaysia’s natural heritage, in line with Gamuda Cove’s outlook as a nature sanctuary.

The garden terrace homes feature built-ups from 2,293 sq ft to 3,002 sq ft.

Tailored for Malaysian home seekers

“We are gratified to see the response Enso Woods has received. By thoughtfully designing every place and laying them out within easy reach and in harmony with nature, we deliver what Malaysian home seekers are looking for. We are following up on this with the second phase of Enso Woods,” said Aw.

Enso Woods continues its momentum with the launch of 251 units of garden terrace homes featuring built-ups from 2,293 sq ft to 3,002 sq ft, suitable for larger multigenerational families.

Both phases leverage on future-forward design emphasising post-pandemic living, developed by Gamuda Land’s Planning for the Future think tank. Led by its Product Management Unit, the initiative conducts research, planning and design for the evolving needs of future homes, keeping Gamuda Land at the forefront of innovation.

This is seen in Enso Woods with features such as double-volume spaces which promote natural ventilation and lighting while reducing energy costs, high-speed 5G infrastructure for optimal connectivity in the new normal, and flexible lifestyle corners suitable for a wide range of live, work and play activities. In addition, the precinct caters for emerging Work Near Home (WNH) trends with the Community Pavilion, an open concept hub complemented with a suite of WNH facilities.

Vibrant placemaking driving footfall and uptake

“Complementing its post-pandemic design, Gamuda Land will double down on Enso Woods’ success with placemaking initiatives such as the upcoming Forest Park, Wetlands Arboretum and SplashMania, with 39 exciting rides and attractions set for completion by Q4 2022, along with the Heart of Cove, kickstarting the commercial pulse of the area as the Jewel of Southern Klang Valley,” said Aw.

The Heart of Cove serves as the gateway to a vivid array of planned entertainment and commercial amenities. These include garden office towers, a hotel, retail mall, serviced residences, MICE facilities and SplashMania, Asia’s largest rainforest-themed water park, as well as the Townsquare retail hub, a European-inspired lifestyle retail hub with pedestrian friendly, al fresco streets and spaces catering for post-pandemic retail trends.

Gamuda Cove itself comprises 1,530 acres in Southern Klang Valley, situated within a 30- minute drive from Kuala Lumpur with connectivity to the North-South Expressway Central Link (Elite), Maju Expressway (MEX) and South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE) Highways. Its connectivity profile is further enhanced with a direct interchange, shortening travel to Cyberjaya to 2km.
