PETALING JAYA: Gamuda Land’s first hotel development, Asai Gamuda Cove, has opened its doors, marking a new chapter for the lifestyle brand in Malaysia.
Located within the 1,866-acre township and approximately 20 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Asai Gamuda Cove is the first hotel to debut Dusit’s expanded Asai Tropical model, developed for nature-led destinations.
“As the first property to introduce our expanded Asai, Asai Gamuda Cove brings our Live Local philosophy into a nature-led setting where the wetlands, outdoor experiences and wider destination become part of the stay.
“It allows us to offer something distinctly different from our urban properties while retaining the approachable, social and experience-driven character at the heart of Asai,” said Asai Gamuda Cove general manager Bob Yusof.
Gamuda Land chief operating officer Wong Siew Lee said, “As Gamuda Land’s first hotel development, it complements our nature and leisure offerings while connecting naturally with the wider experience we have been building, from the wetlands and recreational attractions to dining, commercial offerings and our e-tram network. Together, these give people more reasons to stay longer, explore more and experience different aspects of Gamuda Cove.”
Also present were Gamuda Land chief operating officer Jess Teng, Thailand ambassador to Malaysia Lada Phumas, Dusit International vice-presidents Aloysius Michael and Ling Fui Ken.
Asai Gamuda Cove features 280 rooms, an infinity pool overlooking the wetlands, a fitness centre, co-working areas, flexible meeting spaces and three dining venues. Its all-day dining restaurant, Nasi & Khao, brings together Malaysian, Thai and Western flavours. The Tea Shop and Pool Bar provide welcoming spaces for guests to unwind, connect and gather.
The hotel sits beside the Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands, a nature reserve and wildlife sanctuary managed by Gamuda Land. The nearby Wetlands Arboretum, SplashMania Waterpark and Discovery Park further offer opportunities for nature, recreation and family experiences.
The upcoming Kelab Tani clubhouse, located within walking distance of the hotel, will offer Asai guests additional leisure and recreational experiences once operational. Connecting these attractions is Gamuda Cove’s electric tram network which links selected nature, recreational and commercial destinations across the township, providing hotel guests with a convenient way to explore the wider destination.
Asai Gamuda Cove’s New Opening Adventures starts from MYR250+ per room per night inclusive of other offers. For more information and reservations, visit Asai Gamuda Cove by Dusit Hotels & Resorts.
