PETALING JAYA: ISP Group of Companies has secured GreenRE certification for a selection of its workers’ accommodation and industrial assets, in line with the group’s sustainability tracks for both new greenfield developments and existing or new brownfield assets.
“When we started ISP, we saw a gap between what Malaysia’s industrial workforce deserved and what the market was offering. Green certification is not a badge for us. It is how we hold ourselves to account. Every property we manage should perform well for the people in it and for the environment around it,” said founder and group chief executive officer Eric Ng.
One of the assets recently obtaining GreenRE certification is ISP Home Kapar, a 10-storey purpose-built workers’ accommodation housing 210 units. It has obtained a Gold certification, the group’s highest-tier to date. Another asset is ISP Home Desa Cemerlang which holds Silver GreenRE Certification. The five-storey facility in Taman Perindustrian Cemerlang, Ulu Tiram, Johor Bahru offers 122 units. Existing brownfield assets are represented by ISP Astute Warehouse and ISP Harvest in Kawasan Perindustrian Pandamaran, both of which secured a GreenRE Silver Certification.
ISP Group, founded in 2022, said its workers’ accommodation assets are fully compliant with Malaysia’s workforce housing legislation.
