KAJANG: Mah Sing Group Bhd has been appointed by Majlis Perbandaran Kajang (MPKj) as the lead developer for a new flyover at the intersection of Jalan Tasik Kesuma and Jalan Semenyih, Bandar Tasik Kesuma. The project, involving a total of 11 developers, will be facilitated through Mah Sing’s subsidiaries Mestika Bistari Sdn Bhd, Grand Prestige Development Sdn Bhd and Elite Park Development Sdn Bhd.

The flyover, spanning approximately 3km and costing RM52.5mil, aims to enhance traffic safety and efficiency. It is set to begin construction in early 2026 and be completed by early 2028.

Representing Mah Sing at the signing ceremony was group chief executive officer Datuk Voon Tin Yow. MPKj was represented by president Nazli Md Taib, deputy president Mohd Fareez and engineering department director Fadilah Razalli.

“We are honoured to have been appointed by MPKj as the lead developer for this important infrastructure project. Mah Sing is committed to delivering the design and coordinating with the relevant parties to ensure smooth execution. We believe this initiative will contribute positively to the community and the surrounding areas. Upon completion, the improved connectivity will facilitate better traffic dispersal, reducing travel times for commuters and enhancing accessibility for residents, businesses and visitors to the area. In addition to alleviating current traffic challenges,” said Voon.

“The initiative was first mooted in 2018 in anticipation of the growing population in Semenyih. Last year, we revisited the plan and appointed Mah Sing as the lead developer to drive the project from design through to implementation. We appreciate Mah Sing’s commitment to advancing the project and extend our thanks to all participating developers for their cooperation and willingness to share costs among the 11 parties involved. This spirit of collaboration reflects the strong partnership between local authorities and the development community in delivering infrastructure that benefits the public,” said Nazli.
