PETALING JAYA: Property developer Masteron Group has marked a significant milestone in the development of VTown, its 20.97-acre mixed development in PJS5, Petaling Jaya, by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hero Market to anchor its lifestyle precinct.
Hero Market's outlet at VTown will be its first purpose-built standalone store, building on its successful conversion of standalone outlets in Bandar Puteri, Kampung Baru Puchong and Kota Kemuning.
This new outlet will be approximately 20,000 sq ft and will include its largest dedicated area for fresh market products. The group will also establish Levure Bakery and Manchu Butcher Shop within the premises.
Beyond Hero Market, the VTown lifestyle precinct includes 18 lifestyle shops, SK Badminton Academy, SK Arena, Arise Pilates Studio and Plan B and Physio Centre, further strengthening VTown's positioning as a lifestyle destination that serves not only its residents but also the wider Petaling Jaya community.
The MoU was signed between Masteron director Choy Yuin Yi and Hero Market founder Francis Teng in conjunction with the opening of Masteron Gallery @ VTown. Also present at the signing ceremony were director Choy Kin Mann and Hero Market senior manager Gee.
Choy said: “We are glad to welcome Hero Market to further strengthen our commitment to enable our buyers to master new lifestyles. Masteron is committed to continuing our investment in the transformation of the area which started with the white knight revival of the previously abandoned Villaria Condominium and shop lots 10 years ago.”
Teng added: “This will be Hero Market's first purpose-built store, designed specifically for this location and VTown's scale and vision made that an easy decision for us. A 20.97-acre integrated development of this size doesn't come along often and it's exactly the kind of growing community we want to be part of early. Within walking distance of VTown's lifestyle precinct is Veridian Residence, Masteron's latest high-rise residential project, with a gross development value of approximately RM750mil. The development, upon completion, will bring another 1,167 new families to the area, further adding to the young, growing population of PJ South.
