PICTURE this scenario. You are away in London and in need of an important document which is in your home.
No one has a spare key to your place, meaning your friends or family have no access into the premises to get the document for you.
But that will not be the case if your home is one of the suite units at the Hill10Residence@i-City, which comes with the Internet of Things (IoT) technology, said ICT director Monica Ong.
All one has to do, explained Ong, is ask a friend or relative to go to the apartment unit even if they don’t have the keys to gain access.
“All you have to do is use your smartphone and key in the access code for the door to open for the person to enter,” said Ong at the media preview of the units.
She added that the homeowner can also use the smartphone to press the codes, all the way from London, to turn on the lights and air-conditioning.
“You can then look at the person and speak with her through a two-way communication CCTV and once she leaves, you press the away mode to lock the door and shut down every device in the house,” said Ong.
The apartment units will be in the same building as the DoubleTree by Hilton in i-City, with the hotel occupying Ground Floor to Level 22 while Hill10 Residence@i-City will be form Level 22 Mezzanine to Level 43.
Although the hotel and residences share the same main entrance, both will have separate lobbies and lifts to ensure the safety and privacy of apartment dwellers.
The fully furnished Hill10 Residence@i-City units will be launched on June 10 at the Starproperty.my Fair 2017 i-City Edition.
The fair from June 10 to 12, which is organised by Star Media Group Bhd and I-Bhd, will showcase developments such as Hill10 Residence, 8Kia Peng, Parisien Tower, Hyde, Liberty Tower and i-Suite.
Besides enjoying the ambience of a luxury hotel suite, Hill10-Residence@i-City owners and residents will also enjoy world-class facilities such as a cantilevered rooftop infinity pool, landscape gardens, recreation zones and a fully-equipped gym.
Ong said Hill10 Residence was already open for registration and the investment for each unit begins at RM500,000.
All 200 units for sale come in standard, deluxe and executive suites offering one bedroom, one study room and one bath, or two bedrooms and two baths.
The tower block housing Hill10 Residence and DoubleTree by Hilton is expected to be completed in 2020.
The IoT technology for the development is a joint venture between I-Bhd and Huawei Technologies.
StarProperty.my Fair i-City Edition, to be held at the I-Gallery in i-City, Shah Alam will feature renowned speakers on property investments and smart home technology.
There will also be a lucky draw for purchasers during the fair, including two return air tickets on economy class to Tokyo, Paris and London.
During the fair, all purchasers will be entitled to free sales and purchase agreements and loan legal fees.
