LANGKAWI: Tropicana Corporation Bhd has been invested in Langkawi for over a decade, recognising its potential as a UNESCO Global Geopark and a prime tourist destination. In 2020, Tropicana introduced Tropicana Cenang, the first integrated green building development on Langkawi's shores.
Tropicana Cenang, located on 5.28 acres of freehold land at Cenang beach, comprises serviced suites and retail components. The recently celebrated topping-off ceremony for Phases 1 and 2 of Assana and Merissa Serviced Suites marked a significant achievement, with both phases achieving 100% take-up. The two suites have 831 and 60 units respectively.
“Tropicana has expanded its foothold in Langkawi for more than a decade now. Langkawi is known for its duty-free status, cultural heritage and its rich geological history dating back half a billion years, including mountains, islands and beaches. We see the huge growth potential and over the years, we have engaged with various stakeholders, showing our support to the community and authority with R&R upgrade, infrastructure enhancement and charity initiatives,” shared Tropicana managing director Allan Wong, together with marketing and sales managing director Ixora Ang.
“In 2020, we accelerated our growth plan with the introduction of Tropicana Cenang, the first integrated, well-planned and green building development in Langkawi. Today, our phase 1 & 2, Assana and Merissa Serviced Suites, recorded 100% take-up and celebrated their topping-off ceremony. Our audience is largely savvy homebuyers, business owners and families looking for holiday homes,” they added.
Also present at the ceremony were Langkawi senior chief assistant district officer Zulkifli Abdullah, Langkawi Tourist Information manager Alwi Shakir Abdullah, Temokin Group executive director Jeremiah Tan, SA Architects associate director Terenze Tee and Veritas Architects principal and director Ar. Syah Kamaruddin.
Tropicana Cenang has received multiple accolades, including The Holiday Home Award – Best Vacation Property Development at the 10th StarProperty Real Estate Developer Awards 2025.
