SHAH ALAM: SP Setia Bhd (Setia) has launched the Setia AI and Proptech Innovation Challenge, an initiative under the Bengkel Inovasi GLC (BIG) Programme to promote inclusive homeownership and improve construction. This directly supports the Malaysia MADANI agenda, which aims to provide access to homeownership for all segments of society.
By leveraging AI, Setia aims to streamline the homebuying process, making it more accessible and efficient for potential homeowners, regardless of their background or financial standing.
Setia is inviting innovative startups to participate in the challenge, seeking AI and proptech solutions that align with both the MADANI and BIG agendas. These startups will then gain access to Setia’s resources, mentorship and potential investment, enabling them to bring their innovative ideas to fruition.
Setia president and chief executive officer Datuk Choong Kai Wai emphasised the intrinsic link between the future of homeownership and construction with the transformative power of AI and technology.
He added that Setia is not just fostering innovation and collaboration; it is actively driving forward Setia's vision of creating inclusive, high-quality housing that meets the needs of all Malaysians.
“Setia’s demonstrating forward, pragmatic leadership, working directly with startups on real challenges that matter to the industry,” said Antler partner and Ibex global head Deepak Jayaraman.
He added that their approach to innovation is the kind of ambition Ibex exists to support. The Setia AI & Proptech Innovation challenge is available from Aug 1 to 31, 2025 via the F6S platform.
