KUALA LUMPUR: Property developer Mah Sing Group Bhd (Mah Sing) has opened the next portion of Meridin East for registration following the success of Erica phase 3, which has been fully sold.
Called Erica West, the first phase comprises 179 units that are designed for first-time homebuyers, young professionals, newlyweds and growing families.
“We are delighted to announce that all 108 units of Erica @ Meridin East Phase 3 have been fully sold last weekend. This demonstrates the high demand for reasonably priced landed properties in strategic locations with practical layouts. Hence, registration for the next phase of this township - Erica West Phase 1 is now open. We are confident that this project will set another great milestone for our Meridin East township," Mah Sing property subsidiaries chief executive officer Benjamin Ong Chin Yee said.
To increase Meridin East’s connectivity, Mah Sing is planning to open the new Meridin East Interchange, which will provide direct access from Senai-Desaru Expressway (SDE) into the township.
Meridin East is Mah Sing’s largest mixed-development township, comprising 1,313 acres. To date, it has an estimated 70% occupancy rate for the developed components.
Erica West will be one of the participating projects of Mah Sing's own home ownership campaign named Home, providing homebuyers with benefits such as zero down-payment, free stamp duty and lower monthly instalments. The campaign will run until Sept 30, 2022.
The group recently acquired freehold land in Mukim Tebrau to build M Minori, further expanding its presence in Johor Bahru. "M Minori has an estimated GDV (gross development value) of RM469 million and will be a mixed development consisting of three blocks of serviced suites with indicative starting prices at RM260,000. The mixed development is scheduled for registration of interest in the fourth quarter of 2022, and we anticipate that it will be able to capitalise on a large target catchment in that area," Ong added.
