KUALA LUMPUR: International Sustainability Week (ISW) 2026 concluded with a focus on turning net-zero ambitions into practical measures for more sustainable and resilient cities.
Organised by Qube Integrated Malaysia and co-organised by GreenRE Sdn Bhd, the two-day event combined the sixth International Green Build Conference (IGBC) with the inaugural GreenScape: International Green Innovation Exhibition.
Themed Path to Sustainable Cities for All: The Urban Transition Towards Net Zero, IGBC explored urban strategies, placemaking and flood resilience while GreenScape showcased technologies supporting low-carbon and resource-efficient development.
In a keynote address delivered by Federal Territories Department planning and development deputy director-general Farah Adura Hamidi, Federal Territories Minister Hannah Yeoh called for net-zero efforts to be supported by action on flood resilience, green space protection and heritage.
“When we opened ISW 2026, we said success would mean leaving with new ideas, new connections and new possibilities for action. Looking at these past two days, I believe we have done exactly that. This inaugural edition has given us a strong foundation to build on and we look forward to growing ISW further with greater international participation in 2027,” said Qube Integrated Malaysia managing director Jessie Tan.
