PETALING JAYA: Over 2,200 visitors were among the first to try Gamuda Land’s 18-acre SplashMania Waterpark in Gamuda Cove during its soft opening on Feb 6.
“The waterpark represents a great addition towards Gamuda Cove’s list of placemaking offerings, and the team is thrilled to offer SplashMania’s Where Nature Meets Fun hospitality to visitors from far and wide, both local and international,” said chief executive officer Chu Wai Lune.
Among the featured attractions include the Shaka Waka, a 78-metre multimedia and audio waterslide fitted with LED light effects.
General manager Sanjay Nadarajah said SplashMania has taken into consideration the best practices in using technology for the best user experience from theme parks across the region.
“With technology, such as the GL Play app, it not only helps create a safer experience for guests, but provides a seamless experience. The process of collecting and paying for passes can be done prior to arrival while also allowing visitors to skip the queue and order their F&B online to collect it when it is ready. We want our guests to maximise their ‘fun’ time at SplashMania,” he said.
Using the GL Play app, visitors can purchase tickets beforehand, navigate through the park, check the availability of the waterslides as well as order food and beverages, and collect at the outlets upon notification that they are ready.
Available at Google Play and Apple App Store, the app can also be used to download high-resolution pictures taken during rides.
