After a successful Day 1 of the StarProperty.my Fair at Mid Valley, more speakers follow suit and deliver impactful seminars.

Drop by the last two days of the StarProperty.my Fair to take advantage of the free knowledge sharing session. The fair runs from May 18^th until 20^th, 2019 at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre (Halls 2 and 3) from 11 am to 9 pm.

Richard Oon

Richard is the National Tax Director at ShineWing TY Teoh Consulnet Tax Sdn Bhd. His discussion topic is on Tax Essentials of Property Investments, as he has a background of more than 25 years in taxation and business advice. Richard started his career in Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, and then went on to start his own practice.

Richard is on the board of two companies listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia as an independent non-executive director. His written articles have been published in several magazines and publications, and he conducts talks for organisations and developers. Richard is also the author of 'Every Property Investor's Guide To How To Pay Less Tax Legally' and is a co-author for 'The Most Wanted Series: GST' and 'Property Investment BLT'.

Hong Onn

Hong is the CEO of Hong Onn Enlightens and her topic is The Art of Tenancy. She graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a first class honours degree in law and then completed her Certificate in Legal Practice. Hong has worked with many highly regarded law firms where she focused on corporate and commercial law.

Hong Onn Enlightens believes that people can be empowered through knowledge and that learning is a lifelong process. Some important tips from Hong are to always do a site inspection to get a sense of the locality, and always ask for a track record of the developer to reduce the risk of the project being abandoned.

Dr. Victor Gan

Victor is a property analyst from San Wang Sdn Bhd and his topic of choice is “怎样成为房产投资失败者？” He started out doing his housemanship at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and then decided to venture into property and investments after he became inspired by a book on making your money work for you. Being a serial entrepreneur, Victor has many side businesses that vary from a childcare centre to being a property analyst for FAR Capital and the Below Bank Value investment company.

Victor’s articles are featured in property magazines in Malaysia. His passion is helping people, in this case, helping people invest in good investments while generating positive cash flow. His talk will be conducted in Mandarin.

Ti Lian Seng

Ti Lian Seng will be sharing his knowledge on Empowering Community; he is the CEO of Kiple Sdn Bhd. Kiple is an e-money issuer, one of Malaysia’s fastest growing e-wallets. They aim to enrich lifestyles and advance Malaysia to become a more cashless and tech-powered society.

Ikhram Merican

Ikhram is the founder of LivingSpace, he is a popular blogger turned prop-reneur and award-winning property expert. His topic is on Property Cycles: Why They Happen & How to Navigate Them Successfully. After his articles got picked up by top-tier business publications, Ikhram decided to become a real estate negotiator. He quickly became the top negotiator of the company with record sales and the highest value of transactions. Ikhram now runs an Airbnb business.

Ikhram’s topic will elaborate on why property cycles occur and the lessons they offer that can make you a better investor. Property buyers should always go through the details with agents or developers and get a deeper understanding of the amenities and facilities (or lack thereof) that come with the unit.
