PETALING JAYA: YCH Group, an end-to-end supply chain solutions provider from Singapore, has broken ground for the RM500mil Supply Chain City @ Malaysia (SCCMY) located at Bandar Bukit Raja. This project, which is YCH Group’s largest in Malaysia to date, represents the group’s long-term commitment to Malaysia’s regional supply chain development.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) chief executive officer Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid, Singapore Acting High Commissioner to Malaysia Shivakumar Nair, Asean-BAC Malaysia Chapter chairman Tan Sri Nazir Razak, YCH Group executive chairman Robert Yap, country general manager Ryan Yap and Sime Darby Property (SDP) group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Azmir Merican.
SDP is the developer of the Bandar Bukit Raja, an integrated and award-winning township.
“We are pleased to welcome YCH Group’s RM500 million investment in this sector in Malaysia. We would also like to see them being more inclusive by enabling SME exporters to also access the global market. When trade flows seamlessly, investors see greater opportunities, fuelling further growth and innovation. This is what will support our New Industrial Master Plan’s goals to increase our competitiveness and position Malaysia as a key manufacturing and services hub for Asean and beyond,” said Tengku Zafrul.

SCCMY will also host the Supply Chain and Logistics Academy (SCALA), an industry-level development academy on logistics.
