WCity OUG is setting a new benchmark for multigenerational, people-centric living

Not many neighbourhoods are able to perfectly balance a traditional suburban feel with modern lifestyle amenities. Yet, Taman OUG proves that it is possible with the right strategy. Reflecting this vision is WCity OUG, Kuala Lumpur, an integrated 63-acre freehold township masterplanned as a city within a city. Developed by WCT Land Sdn Bhd, the project brings together premium residences, retail shoppes and lifestyle spaces, all anchored by a central park.

WCity OUG is setting a new benchmark for multigenerational, people-centric living. Diverging from conventional developments that separate residential, commercial and recreational zones, WCity OUG is planned as a cohesive ecosystem where daily life flows naturally between home, leisure and convenience. The central park serves as the township’s main social and lifestyle spine, making it ideal for families and young professionals seeking an accessible yet relaxing space to unwind after a long day at work.

Beyond its physical layout, the broader masterplan is guided by the vision of creating a more complete urban living environment. The focus is on walkability, accessibility and everyday convenience, with essential lifestyle needs integrated within the township itself. This practical urban approach supports a more balanced way of living, ensuring that residents rarely need to travel far while still enjoying a sense of openness and greenery.

“A successful township doesn’t force you to leave when your life stage changes. WCity OUG grows with you, from your first home to raising a family and eventually enjoying retirement. That's why we call it truly people-centric,” said WCT Holdings Bhd property development chief operating officer Chong Wah Hing.

Retail and residential offerings

The retail component of WCity OUG is set to launch soon, built around a park-side concept that brings more vibrancy to the surroundings. It is meant to be the development’s main gathering spot with a mix of F&B and experiential spaces that go beyond conventional retail. More than anything, it aims to create a place where people genuinely want to spend time, whether that involves strengthening community and social interactions, grabbing a quick bite or simply being out and about, while quietly enhancing the overall liveability and long-term value of the neighbourhood.

The retail hub is also designed to support a steady flow of activity throughout the day, offering both residents and visitors multiple ways to engage with the space. With its direct access and frontage along the Shah Alam Expressway (Kesas), the development enjoys strong visibility and accessibility which is expected to attract visitors and contribute to the township’s commercial ecosystem while reinforcing its role as a lifestyle destination.

On the residential side, WCity OUG has evolved through its three distinct phases. It began with Waltz Residences which laid the foundation for the township, followed by the low-density, family-oriented Maple Residences completed in 2025. Its latest chapter, Aras Residences, introduces a stronger emphasis on wellness and parkfront living, taking shape as a pair of 57-storey towers. Each phase reflects a gradual evolution in lifestyle needs, from foundational living to more considered and experience-driven residential design.

WCity OUG features modern, clean and contemporary architecture, with a strong emphasis on openness and greenery integration. The residences are park-fronting and incorporate green features across the developments. This design approach helps soften the density of high-rise living while maintaining a sense of space, comfort and visual connection to nature.

Across the development, the landscaping is not limited to greenery integration alone; it extends into how spaces are experienced at ground level and within residential environments. This creates a more balanced living setting where urban convenience and natural surroundings coexist.

Amenities and connectivity

WCity OUG is surrounded by a well-established neighbourhood that places everyday convenience and lifestyle within easy reach. From leading retail destinations such as Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens Mall, to local favourites like Pearl Point Shopping Mall, residents are connected to a diverse mix of shopping, dining and leisure options.

The area is equally enriched by green and recreational places, including Bukit Jalil Recreational Park, Bukit Jalil Golf and Country Resort and the National Stadium precinct. These offer a strong balance between urban vibrancy and open-air relaxation, allowing residents to transition easily between city living and outdoor activity. Established schools, medical centres and neighbourhood lifestyle hubs further enhance the completeness of the surrounding community.

Connectivity is highly accessible with multiple LRT stations nearby. The Awan Besar, Muhibbah, Sri Petaling and Bukit Jalil stations provide convenient access to key destinations without the stress of traffic congestion. In addition, residents can access the MRT via Taman Naga Emas on the Putrajaya Line. For residents who rely on private vehicles, major highways such as Kesas, Maju Expressway (Mex) and Sungai Besi-Ulu Klang Elevated Expressway (Suke) are nearby, ensuring smooth movement across the Klang Valley. This reinforces WCity OUG’s standout position within an already well-connected and mature urban setting.

“We’re not just building towers and shops. We’re designing a place where a young professional can grab coffee downstairs, a retiree can take their grandchild for a walk in the park and a family can spend weekends without getting into a car. That’s the future of urban living,” said Chong.
