PETALING JAYA: Mah Sing Group Bhd (Mah Sing) has disposed of approximately 78.8 acres of commercial land within Mah Sing DC Hub @ Southville City to WG Malaysia X Sdn Bhd, for RM617.9mil. In addition to unlocking land value through the transaction, Mah Sing is planning to develop a colocation data centre within Mah Sing DC Hub @ Southville City through a strategic partnership with an experienced colocation operator.
WG Malaysia X Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of an international data centre developer, will be developing a data centre with NeoCloud and advanced NVIDIA GPU computing capabilities.
“AI is reshaping the global digital infrastructure landscape and Malaysia is well positioned to capture a meaningful share of this growth. Our ambition is to build Mah Sing into a company that can participate not only in property development but also in the infrastructure supporting the next generation of AI and digital services,” said Mah Sing founder and group managing director Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum.
“We are partnering with experienced international players because we believe this is the fastest and most effective way to build capability, bring new technology into Malaysia and develop a business that can compete beyond our traditional markets,” he added.
Located within the 428-acre freehold Southville City township, Mah Sing DC Hub @ Southville City offers access to power and water infrastructure, high-speed fibre connectivity and convenient accessibility, providing a strong platform for the deployment of large-scale digital infrastructure.
