KUALA LUMPUR: Kommons Realty commemorated a milestone evening with its Awards Night 2026, celebrating a year of record-breaking achievements in 2025 and unveiling an aggressive expansion strategy for the year ahead. The gala brought together the firm’s 400-strong sales force alongside a diverse network of developers, bankers, legal practitioners, collaborators from the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) and interior design and furniture industries.
The evening celebrated excellence across the organisation, with Eugene Wong crowned Top Producer while Freeman Woo secured the Top Team Leader Award. In a display of the agency's competitive depth, 80 Real Estate Negotiators (RENs) were inducted into the Elite and Elite Pro categories for their exceptional performance throughout 2025.
The highlight of the night was the presentation of the Lifetime Excellence Award to Edmund Chuah, honouring his remarkable 31-year journey in the real estate industry. Chuah’s journey from a solo negotiator to an agency founder and eventually a pillar of the Kommons Realty family since 2023 was hailed as a benchmark for resilience, leadership and enduring contribution to the profession.
In his address, managing director Wong Yau Long shared a defining experience from his early career, highlighting a deal that fell through twice before eventually closing on the third attempt after unwavering persistence. The story illustrated a key belief that continues to shape the organisation: real estate is fundamentally about commitment, not convenience.
Drawing parallels to the company’s performance in 2025, he highlighted that Kommons Realty served more than 4,000 families and transacted over RM1.5bil in property value. Yet, he emphasised that behind each transaction lies a deeper responsibility, that is, guiding clients through some of the most significant decisions of their lives.
Executive director Kenny Sim echoed this sentiment, reflecting on the company’s evolution over the past year. What began as a shared vision has since taken shape as Kommons Realty which serves as a unified platform built on collaboration, shared ambition and long-term growth.
He noted that the company’s progress extends beyond expansion in scale. Over the past year, Kommons Realty has strengthened its internal systems, enhanced support structures and built a framework that enables its people to perform with greater efficiency and impact.
“Kommons Realty was never meant to be just another agency,” Sim said. “It is a platform where people grow, lead and win together.”
While the awards highlighted measurable success, both leaders emphasised the unseen dedication behind each achievement, consisting of the late nights, rejections and persistence that define the profession. The recognition of 80 Top Performers Elite and Elite Pro achievers further reflected a strong performance culture, where consistency and discipline are valued alongside peak results.
At the same time, the company acknowledged the critical role played by its partners. Developers, financial institutions, legal advisors and lifestyle service providers were recognised as essential contributors in delivering a seamless and holistic experience for clients.
While the Awards Night celebrated past achievements, it also set a bold trajectory for what lies ahead. With a clear vision and collective momentum, Kommons Realty is firmly geared towards achieving RM62mil in revenue in 2026 while expanding its force to 600 RENs representing a targeted growth of 30% in revenue and 50% in team size.
