AMPANG: Ukay Hills has officially launched as a contemporary hillside estate, introducing a new integrated destination for Malaysia’s growing demand for more purposeful, integrated event landscape in Malaysia. The opening was officiated by Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin who unveiled the estate in a ceremony attended by partners, industry representatives and invited guests.

Located in Bukit Antarabangsa, Ukay Hills is positioned as a modern destination estate that brings together event venues, lifestyle suites and curated dining experiences within a single, cohesive environment. The integrated approach reflects a shift in how weddings, corporate functions and private celebrations are increasingly hosted, with organisers prioritising venues that offer privacy, architectural distinction and seamless guest movement across stay, dine and event spaces.

Ukay Hills director Chee Yong Fatt said Ukay Hills was built with a clear intention: to offer Malaysia a new kind of event estate, one that brings together inspiration for a pinterest-dream’s wedding to reality, hospitality and functionality in a way that feels contemporary and meaningful.

“We wanted to create a destination that serves weddings and private celebrations, but also supports the evolving needs of corporations, brands and lifestyle experiences,” he added.

The opening also marked the official launch of Restaurant Seafood D’ Bendang at Ukay Hills. Originating from Sekinchan, the restaurant brings its established culinary heritage to the estate, forming a key pillar of Ukay Hills’ integrated hospitality offering. Facilities include full-service dining, private VIP dining rooms as well as catering and buffet services to support events hosted across the property.

Additionally, Ukay Hills director Ray Cheng elaborated that at Ukay Hills, we put a lot of thought into creating an estate that feels coherent from the moment guests arrive, where the event spaces, suites and dining experiences connect naturally.

“Our goal is to offer hosts and planners a venue that is beautiful, functional and easy to work with, while giving guests a sense of escape without leaving the city,” he said.

Spread across its hillside setting, Ukay Hills features 29 lifestyle suites, a dedicated VIP Private Dining Room, a full-service restaurant and three signature event spaces. The estate’s design draws inspiration from European architectural elements, complemented by its natural surroundings and modern glass structures.

Each component of the estate has been designed to function independently or as part of a larger event journey, allowing flexibility for multi-day weddings, corporate retreats, brand activations and premium private functions.

The development aligns with the continued growth of Malaysia’s domestic lifestyle tourism and premium events sector, where demand has increased for venues offering distinct atmospheres, adaptable layouts and experiential hosting capabilities.
