PETALING JAYA: On August 16, it was unveiled that UCSI College and Hartamas Academy will undertake a strategic partnership and collaborative effort to jointly develop the Executive Diploma in Real Estate (EDRE).

Thanks to this programme offered by UCSI Hartamas, the road to becoming a registered and fully-qualified real estate agent is now much smoother.

The EDRE programme is unique as it combines the expertise of established and distinguished parties in both the academic and real estate industries. This pioneer collaboration marks a major step in the training and education sector resulting in learning materials that are highly relevant and practical.

EDRE graduates will be equipped with knowledge and skills that are specific to the real estate market, thereby .

They will enjoy full exemptions from Part 1 and Part 2 of the Board of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents (BOVAEA) Malaysia's Estate Agents Written Examination. They will also be eligible to apply to be probationary estate agents, therefore fast-tracking their way to their dream career.

Offered at UCSI College's Petaling Jaya campus, EDRE addresses key concerns in the industry and seeks to graduate the best real estate agents, not only in the industry, but for it.

"UCSI's collaboration with Hartamas Academy – the training and development arm of Hartamas Real Estate Group – addresses current market needs.

Both parties have worked ceaselessly to make the EDRE programme a game-changing qualification," said UCSI College CEO and president Associate Professor Dr Mabel Tan.

EDRE will be conducted by leading academics from UCSI College, in collaboration with seasoned real estate negotiators from Hartamas Real Estate Group.

The part-time mode of this programme – spanning two years and five months – is tailor-made for working professionals, which means that it will not disrupt the personal and professional commitments of its attendees.

It is thus ideal for aspiring realtors, current real estate negotiators or property professionals who seek to become a registered real estate agent equipped with the right industry knowledge. EDRE is recognised and approved by BOVAEA and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency.
