PETALING JAYA: Tropicana Corporation Bhd (Tropicana) has won five awards at the 10th StarProperty Real Estate Developer Awards (SPDA)2025, among which, the group was named one of the Top 10 Developers in the country. This is Tropicana’s 9th consecutive win at the prestigious awards since its inception in 2016.
Organised by StarProperty, a wholly owned subsidiary of Star Media Group (SMG), the SPDA is an annual award to recognise developers who have significantly contributed to the growth of Malaysia's real estate industry. From iconic buildings to sustainable developments and integrated townships, these awards also recognise projects that shape society for the better. The SPDA 2025 was graced by the Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming, who presented the awards accompanied by SMG group chief executive officer Chan Seng Fatt, chairman Tan Sri Wong Foon Meng and other SMG senior management officers.
Tropicana has won namely The Southern Star Award – Best Southern Malaysia Development (Township) for Lido Waterfront Boulevard in Johor, The Holiday Home Award – Best Vacation Property Development for Tropicana Cenang in Langkawi, The Family-friendly Award – Best Family-Centric Development (Landed) for Fraser Heights, Tropicana Uplands in Johor and The Business Estate Award – Best Commercial Development” for Breeze Hill Shoppes, Tropicana Avalon in Genting Highlands.
Chief executive officer Datuk Mark Rozario said the awards are a testament to the company’s long standing commitment as a sustainable township planner.
“Building townships for more than 46 years, Tropicana has broadened its position from a resort-style developer to a sustainable community planner. Participated since 2017, we are thankful to be recognised for a host of awards from The Best Boutique Township to The All-Stars Top 10 Developers. This is our 9th consecutive win at the 10th StarProperty Real Estate Developer Awards 2025 and we are humbled to receive these prestigious accolades. Also present were chief executive officer Ong Chou Wen, project managing directors Loke Wei Feng and Allan Wong as well as southern region managing director Jeffrey Yee.
