KUALA LUMPUR: JKG Central Park Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of JKG Land Bjd, has signed The Food Merchant® and several other retail partners to its retail boulevard RainTreeRain, located in the ERA @ Duta North, Jalan Segambut.  

The ERA is JKG Land’s flagship mixed commercial development in Klang Valley spanning 14.8 acres. RainTreeRain is housed directly beneath the ERA’s facilities podium, designed as a themed garden with food and beverage outlets.

“RainTreeRain is the ideal place for startups and trendsetters to showcase new ideas and creative retail and F&B offerings. With the arrival of The Food Merchant® at RainTreeRain as one of our anchor tenants, we are positive that residents of The ERA and in the vicinity shall experience a breath of fresh air while being able to discover global cultures in grocery shopping,” JKG Land managing director Datuk Teh Kean Ming said.

Slated to be opened in December of this year, The Food Merchant® has five outlets across Malaysia as of today. Other retail partners include Dai Cha Dim, A Plus Medical Clinic, LN Fortunate Coffee, Salad Atelier and Herbal Tea. 

“We are much thrilled to welcome our panel of new retail partners to RainTreeRain and we believe that residents will enjoy the offerings by these retailers. This is just the beginning of our goal to elevate the retail landscape and inspire a bold rejuvenation to Jalan Segambut’s dated industrial neighbourhood,” Teh added. 

The signing ceremony also welcomed the mid-autumn festival with Rumah Charis, a non-profit shelter for children.

“We have arranged for lots of activities such as face painting, lantern making, mooncake workshop and many more activities to celebrate the mid-autumn festival at RainTreeRain on the 3rd September 2022. We even have lantern-walk and live band belting out nostalgic songs,” Teh said.

In conjunction with Merdeka and Malaysia Day, JKG Central Park launched a promotional package for the second phase of its Service Apartments at The ERA @ Duta North.
