SELANGOR: NCT World Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NCT Alliance Bhd, has signed a memorandum of collaboration (MoC) with Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) to support the development of the Selangor Robotic Manufacturing Ecosystem.

The collaboration, formalised at SPARK 2026 during the 10th Selangor International Business Summit, will see NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP) serve as one of the initiative's manufacturing bases.

Located within the Integrated Development Region in South Selangor (IDRISS), NSIP will provide factory facilities for robotics and automation manufacturers seeking to establish or expand their operations in the state.

Under the agreement, NCT will offer flexible factory occupancy arrangements, including outright purchases, rent-before-purchase options and leasing facilities, while Sidec will facilitate introductions to local and international manufacturers and investors.

NCT Alliance executive chairman and group managing director Datuk Seri Yap Ngan Choy said the collaboration would strengthen the park's role in supporting technology-driven industries. “Through this collaboration with Sidec, we aim to provide manufacturers with the infrastructure, flexibility and environment needed to establish and scale their operations in Selangor,” he said.

The collaboration has also attracted interest from China-based electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft developer TCab Tech and Malaysian robotics manufacturer DF Automation & Robotics, both of which are discussing establishing operations at NSIP. TCab Tech is expected to display its five-seat E20 tilt-rotor aircraft at the park by November 2026.

Sidec chief executive officer Yong Kai Ping said NSIP's ready-built factories and infrastructure would support manufacturers looking to enter the Malaysian market. “With NSIP serving as one of the bases of this ecosystem, we see strong potential to attract both local and international companies looking for a strategic entry point into Malaysia, while creating more opportunities for technology collaboration, investment and industry development,” he said.

Also present at the signing ceremony were Deputy Finance Minister Liew Chin Tong, Investment, Trade and Mobility Selangor State executive councillor Ng Sze Han and Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) chief executive officer Datuk Saipolyazan Mat Yusop.

Both parties also plan to organise a Malaysia-China Robotics Day in January 2027, involving 15 robotics and automation companies, followed by establishing a robotics exhibition hub at NSIP.
