KUALA LUMPUR: The Government is pushing for ticketing integration of the KTM Komuter with other city rail services by the end of the year, says Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.
He said that currently, commuters can choose to go to any MRT, LRT or monorail station under a single payment system, allowing seamless travel between these services.
“But KTM Komuter is operated by a different company. We need to have in-depth discussions in order to integrate the systems,” he said after opening the Blossom Arts Festival Malaysia 2017 Signature Wall at the Ampang Park LRT station.

People will be able to go anywhere in Peninsular Malaysia by rail when the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail (KL-SG HSR) and East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) are ready, he added.
The KL-SG HSR will have eight stations – Bandar Malaysia, Putrajaya, Seremban, Melaka, Muar, Batu Pahat, Iskandar Puteri and Jurong East in Singapore.
Prasarana Malaysia Bhd is the operator of two LRT networks comprising the Kelana Jaya Line and Ampang/Sri Petaling Line, the KL Monorail and MRT service.
The KTM Komuter is operated by KTM Bhd.
