KUALA LUMPUR: LBS Bina Group Bhd (LBS) has secured double honours at the Malaysia Developer Awards 2026 (MDA), reinforcing its position in Malaysia’s property development industry.

LBS received the Top of the Chart Award, recognising the group among the top three developers in the market capitalisation category for companies valued at below RM1bil. The group also received the Best Qualitative Award which recognises excellence across key areas, including environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives, placemaking innovation and digitalisation, as reflected in its Integrated Annual Report 2025.

The awards ceremony was held at KLGCC Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur, with Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming as the guest of honour. LBS deputy chief executive officer Lim Kim Kiat received the award on stage.

Organised jointly by Star Media Group, StarProperty and FIABCI-Malaysia, the MDA celebrates excellence in property development, recognising industry players for their market capitalisation, financial performance, corporate governance and commitment to sustainable growth.

“We are honoured to receive these two awards which reflect the group’s resilience, disciplined business approach and continued commitment to sustainable growth. This recognition reinforces our responsibility to create lasting value for our stakeholders while delivering quality developments that meet the evolving expectations of homebuyers and communities,” said LBS group executive chairman Tan Sri Lim Hock San.

“As we look ahead, LBS remains focused on strengthening our development portfolio, exploring new opportunities and enhancing the way we plan and deliver our projects. We look forward to unveiling an exciting new development in November, marking another important milestone in the group’s growth journey. Beyond delivering properties, we aim to create well-planned environments that offer lasting value to homeowners and communities. Through responsible development practices, thoughtful placemaking and the effective use of technology, we will continue to pursue sustainable growth while contributing positively to the communities we serve,” added Lim.
