KUALA LUMPUR: GreenRE Sdn Bhd and Qube Integrated Malaysia will jointly organise International Sustainability Week (ISW) 2026, taking place on Sept 10 and 11, 2026, at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec). The event is aimed at advancing sustainability in Malaysia’s built environment.
This platform connects sustainability standards with project delivery, focusing on a net-zero future. It includes two main components: the International Green Build Conference (IGBC), which addresses ESG alignment and green standards challenges, as well as GreenScape, the exhibition showcasing certified green technologies for the built environment.
GreenRE has convened the industry annually through the IGBC and over the years, the conference has grown steadily in participation, reach and influence. This year, participation is expected to reach more than 1000 visitors.
“The future of sustainability is performance - measurable outcomes that can be benchmarked, verified and repeated at scale. International Sustainability Week (ISW) 2026 is designed as a platform for knowledge sharing, high-level networking and enabling engagement - accelerating practical, investable sustainability outcomes for the built environment,” said GreenRE chairman Datuk Seri FD Iskandar.
“As Malaysia’s leading green building certification body, GreenRE is proud to co-organise ISW 2026. By convening policymakers, developers, financiers and technology leaders, ISW creates a powerful forum where standards, innovation and capital converge - turning sustainability commitments into implementation-ready projects that deliver long-term value, resilience and regional impact,” continued Iskandar.
“There is a strong commitment to sustainability across government and industry but delivery remains the real challenge. International Sustainability Week is designed to bring the right people together to focus on how sustainability is implemented in practice - in buildings, developments and cities. As organiser, Qube’s role is to curate and deliver a structured platform that supports this shift from discussion to action,” added Qube Integrated Malaysia executive chairman Richard Teo.
Present at the event alongside Iskandar and Teo were Rehda patron Datuk Seri Michael Yam and Qube managing director Jessie Tan.
