Matt Bennion, in his new appointment as Arcadis CEO for Asia.
Hong Kong – Global design and consultancy firm Arcadis has announced the appointment of Matt Bennion as CEO for Asia. Bennion, currently the Chief Operating Officer for Asia, will succeed the current CEO Asia, Kenneth Poon on September 1 2016.
Bennion is currently responsible for the day-to- day operations of the Asia region and the development of a single Asian business that is capable of bringing the best of Arcadis to their clients, delivering on their goal of securing an undisputed leadership position in natural and built-environment consultancy. He has worked alongside Poon for the past two and a half years. Prior to his current role, Bennion was the Arcadis Global Business Line Director for Buildings.
Bennion joined EC Harris, an Arcadis company, in 2002 and helped to establish its management consultancy, programme management and transformational change business. In 2008, he became an Executive Group Board Member, with group-wide responsibility for service, people and business operations. As the CEO, Bennion will continue to ensure that Arcadis' clients in Asia receive the very best solutions, drawing on the full range of Arcadis' capabilities. Bennion has a degree in Quantity Surveying and is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Poon will retire from the Firm at the end of December, after more than 40 years’ service with Langdon & Seah, an Arcadis company, and Arcadis Asia. He will continue to play an important role with Arcadis, looking after the interests of their clients as a non-executive member of the advisory board for the firm in Asia.
