It has been said that money cannot buy happiness, but money can certainly buy you a unit at one of these posh establishments at an enviable address, and that might be enough to put you in a good mood!
Kuala Lumpur, being the capital city of Malaysia, is undoubtedly packed with a diverse mix of old and new – steel-clad skyscrapers, colonial architecture, trendy nightspots and expansive shopping malls.
Here is also where some of the most luxurious condominiums ever built can be found congregated in the heart of the bustling city. We take a look at six of these posh projects, which are listed in no particular order.
1) The Binjai on the Park
Purchasers of a unit here will probably have two feelings upon stepping foot into their new home – privilege and prestige.
Sharing the same address as the Petronas Twin Towers, the most iconic symbols in Malaysia, it is part of the 100-acre KLCC development. The only project to be developed within the park grounds, it consists of two blocks, standing tall at 44- and 45-storeys respectively.
Residents will be able to enjoy the exclusivity that comes with having a 50-acre park with 1,900 indigenous trees and the 10,000 sq m Symphony Lake right on the threshold of the development.
2) The Troika
The word 'troika' means 'three-of-a-kind', an apt name for the three glass-clad towers with its sinuously twisting facade that oozes a post-modernism feel.
The towers house a total of 231 capacious units in 38-, 44- and 50-storey blocks. As there are only two located on each floor, which are served by two passenger lifts, utmost privacy is assured.
Home to a Sky Lobby that boasts of two double-volume glass-encased bridges connecting to it and spanning the three towers, thus commanding fantastic views of KLCC and the surrounding glittering landmarks.
3) One KL
Swimming pools in condominiums are common, but how about a private swimming pool in each individual unit? One KL has exactly that: "94 Apartments, 95 Swimming Pools" is their fitting tagline!
The 35-storey building houses spacious units that come with an average nett built-up of 3,500 sq ft, which can only be accessed via lifts that are equipped with a fingerprint access system.
Completed in 2009, this was the first development in KL to be delivered fully furnished and fitted – motorised curtains, 21 ft high ceilings and shoe rooms that can store more than 100 pairs of shoes.
4) Banyan Tree Pavilion Signature
Some of the bespoke services that one can expect at this development include couture concierge services that offer residents the luxury of renting a private yacht, jet or limousine, as well as porter services that deliver residents' purchases from Pavilion KL right to their doorstep.
The stunning 60-storey building is the tallest residential complex in KL, with a 58-metre infinity-edged swimming pool, dance studio, fine dining restaurants and a chic rooftop sky bar.
With a tagline of 'Expect nothing less', residents will also receive an exclusive Banyan Tree card that will allow them to receive preferential treatment at all Banyan Tree Hotels, Resorts and Spas worldwide.
5) The Four Seasons Place
The unique experience begins from first sight, a tapering 65-storey tower class in shiny aluminium, glass facades and local wood motifs. The project is touted to be the second tallest building in KL after the Petronas Twin Towers.
This an integrated development with various elements – retail, accommodation and world-class hotel. A complete Four Seasons experience awaits residents and visitors; from the six-star Four Seasons Hotel to the super luxurious private residential units accessible via the Sky Lounge and the hotel-inspired amenities (fitness centre, spa and dining pavilions).
6) The Pearl
With units having built-ups starting from 3,109 sq ft, these are bungalows in the sky that are taking luxury to new heights. Stepping into the lobby, one is welcomed by a concierge service, which will also assist residents in their domestic and practical needs such as delivery arrangement, grocery shopping and housekeeping.
In addition, residents have access to their own private lift, Sky Lounge which offers breathtaking views of both the Petronas Twin Towers and KL Tower, a yoga meditation area surrounded by soothing water features and an infinity cool with cabanas.
Now we know there are other opulent condominiums in the bright and busy city of Kuala Lumpur, so why not share those that you think are worthy of a mention with us. Your suggestion might just be featured!
