DENGKIL: Gamuda Land made its way into the Malaysian Book of Records this Chinese New Year, with Malaysia’s tallest cherry blossom tree replica installed in its 1,530-acre Gamuda Cove township.

The 30 feet replica, also dubbed as a wishing tree, has an investment value of approximately RM60,000, and has since attracted close to 1,000 visitors per day at its peak. It will continue to stand tall on display at the entrance of the Gamuda Cove Experience Gallery until Apr 4, 2020.

Also present at the event are Malaysia Book of Records general admin executive Siti Hajar Binti Johor, director (Business Development) Jwan Heah Yeow Hooi, Gamuda Cove general manager Wong Yik Fong, assistant general manager Genie Tey and assistant general manager Tan Zijin.

“Gamuda Land has been mindful in creating memorable moments for people and the community, be it in our design and masterplan or through our activities and initiatives,” said Wong.

Fully constructed using Gamuda’s innovative digital industrialised building system, prefabricated and SIRIM-approved materials, the Gamuda Cove Experience Gallery features a modular and modern design.

Located across the experience gallery is also the Discovery Park, home to several unique attractions and experiential activities. Among them are the Rainbow City, inspired by Taiwan’s Rainbow Village with a Malaysia twist, the first in South East Asia Cove Aerobar, ArcHIVE food hall that features carefully mixed food stalls to serve a Malaysian experience, the first in Malaysia Barsa Pool Club with Malaysia’s largest saltwater pool and more incoming.

“As we strive to deliver our very best, we are honoured that our effort receives the accolade for being the best in Malaysia. It is our hope that through these activities, we can bring people from local and afar together, grow a sustainable community that will look out for one another,” Wong added.

An integrated township, Gamuda Cove is poised to be Malaysia’ Maxis-enabled 5G township, where homes and public spaces will be equipped with smart features and advanced technologies.

The township features lush greeneries with a 60-acre Central Park containing three lakes, and a newly opened entertainment hub known as Discovery Park. A water theme park and a flyover connecting to Cyberjaya are also in the pipeline.

While hanging out at Gamuda Cove and taking pictures with friends and families, visitors can also grab the opportunity to participate in Gamuda Land’s “Through Your Lens” photography contest.

Running till Apr 3, 2020 with different monthly themes, the grand prize winners stand a chance to win RM20,000 cash for the public or a unit of HighPark Suites in Petaling Jaya for GL Friends, members of Gamuda Land’s loyalty programme. This month, the contest is calling for entries that reflect the theme of “town-making,” showcasing iconic features of Gamuda Land’s developments.
