Bandar Puchong Jaya is known for its wide variety of amenities and unfortunately, it is also known as a crime hot spot to many. There have been petty crimes here and there and shop owners and residents are also urging the police department to do something about it. However, there have been significant improvements in helping to lower the crime rates in Bandar Puchong Jaya ever since the 'Ops Payung' program has been launched. Under 'Ops Payung’, police officers are stationed under stationery umbrella in busy places in Puchong to help residents who are in need. This program was initially launched to strengthen police-residents relationship with hopes that it will help fight crime more effectively and it has been proven to work based on the fall in crime statistics. Traffic congestion is another on-going issue for tenants and customers in Bandar Puchong Jaya. Many customers or even shop owners have been complaining about traffic jam going into Bandar Puchong Jaya during peak hours. The good news is that the government is already planning to spend RM74 million to upgrade LDP to help ease traffic congestion.
