Even though there are plenty of residential in the area, the Ampang Hilir enclave remains as a high class neighborhood and still highly demanded. But, with plenty more new residential developments to be commenced in the area, as well within KLCC enclave, Kuala Lumpur seems short of expatriates to fill them. There is a 3.3-acre plot of land located next to 327 Persiaran Ritchie, which adjacent to Jalan Ampang. This land is also owned by Island & Peninsular which is planned for a commercial development. There are pros and cons once the development works commenced. As it requires at least 3 years to be built, residents have to bear the cost of pollution in terms of bad air and noise caused for all those years.
