Da Men (also spelled as da:men) is a mixed commercial and residential development located in USJ 1. The 8.6 acre development is constructed over Giant's former warehouse which is beside the intersection of Persiaran Kewajipan and Persiaran Subang Permai. It will be adjacent to high-rise buldings such as Menara HeiTech Village, USJ Sentral, Casa Subang, Impian Meridian, Empire Remix and The Summit.Da Men consists of serviced apartments, retail lots and a retail mall. Currently, food and beverage key anchor tenants in the retail mall include Food Republic, Carpicciosa, Social @ KL, Morganfields, Tonkatsu, Overtime and En Dining. As USJ 1 is mere minutes drive away from 15 to 20 schools, universities and colleges, the serviced apartments can also be rented out to students from neighboring SEGI College, Taylors College, Inti College, Metropolitan College, Monash University and Sunway University.     Revenue Concept owns the land whereas Equine Capital is the main developer of the project. The current projects ran by the latter company include Equator, Equine Boulevard and Suria Permai. Equine Capital has experience in planning, designing and building bungalows, semi-detached houses, condominium blocks and shop offices. Future projects from the company include a landed residential development in Seri Kembangan. The management is by Pavilion who is renowned for its world class development called Pavilion KL in Jalan Bukit Bintang.Da Men has an impressive facade and reportedly cost its developers RM1 billion to construct. Judging from the pricing of its units, this development is meant to attract upper-class consumers with higher-than-average income. In terms of convenience, the LRT and BRT and close proximity to entertainment, food and shopping will be a great attraction to its residents and visitors.However, steep pricing also means that investors should be wary of this area as it could be particularly difficult to rent or sell out a studio unit in Da Men which may cost more than owning an older landed 2-storey terrace house in USJ. The fact that there are no new plans to build new access roads to USJ means that residents must be prepared to face daily traffic jams as well.
