In 2011, there was news in the papers recently that an 11-year old boy was electrocuted in a playground in Taman Batu Tiga. Residents have commented that the playground is always poorly maintained and poses a dangerous spot for children to play in. Residents stated that the contractors who clean the area will only sweep the streets and clean the playground after the grass has been cut, which is only once in a few weeks. Some residents who join the Qi Gong classes at the outdoor park on weekdays said that there was a lot of rubbish being left in the playground and stagnant pools of water have also became a breeding ground for mosquitoes. There were cases where groups of thugs gathered near the playground and consumed alcohol at night. Residents were not happy with the loud noises that these groups have been making, who will sometimes hang out until way past midnight. This problem was so severe that the residents asked for the picnic tables in the playground to be removed to discourage people from drinking there. However, this issue has only improved slightly ever since the presence of a mobile police unit in that area.Overall, this enclave is a lower to middle class neighbourhood although it is located in Subang Jaya. However, it is within short driving distance to affluent areas such as UEP Subang Jaya and Glenmarie. There is much unoccupied land in the area which is very affordable. Investors may like the area due to its lower price and strategic location.
