  • Analysis

The residents of 1st Jelutong were quite outrageous after knowing about the commercial development back then in early 2008. According to the residents, they were against the developer action to use Jalan Jendela U8/20 and Jalan Rabung U8/38 as the main entrance to the site. Adding to that, the residents have expressed their disappointment towards the development as they were not consulted about the project. In fact, the site was actually earmarked for a hospital. Merge Housing is an established property development company and established since 1993 under MHB Group of Companies. It started with numerous low to medium-cost developments and is famous in Subang 2 vicinity. The Group have completed over 4,400 units of residential and 1,720 units of commercial shops and industrial factories in the area. It now is focusing on higher end developments. Besides 1st Jelutong, other developments include D'kiara Peak and Taman Sri Jati. This commercial centre is indeed very new. It is still empty, but it looks that quite a number of business owners have already starting to occupy this commercial centre. However, as there are too many units available, the growth might be quite slow. It really needs a college or a hypermarket to boost this area.
