Alam Prima will be extended to Phase 2 development on the site next to it, named Alam Prima 2. This new phase is claimed to comprise another 646 units over a single 18-storey building. The built-up sizes start from 904 sf. The new phase was scheduled for launch in January 2010 at about RM182 psf, however the developer has still been quite about it until now. The downside of Alam Prima is its close proximity to Carlsberg Brewery plant – just across the river next to the apartment. As most units are owned by Malays, they are afraid that the factory emits the smell of alcohol. Besides Carlsberg plant, this apartment is also across the large Seksyen 21 cemeteries area that hosts Shah Alam Nirvana Memorial Park (Tang Villa). Right next to the south of Alam Prima, there is a Malay village, named Kg Melayu Kebun Bunga. Hence, this makes the apartment lacking of exclusivity.Besides that, Alam Prima is just next to a river. The area has been flooded a few times before due to thunder storm. However, the developer claimed that the site has been land filled for 10 ft.
