Taman Garing is one of the more well located housing developments in Rawang, as there are many new developments which take a minimum travel time of half an hour to reach the town centre. Residents who live close to the town centre will however suffer bad congestion daily due to the ongoing road works and the insufficient roads to cater to the many vehicles. Traffic is usually at a standstill during peak hours, a daily recurring issue in Rawang.In spite of its excellent location, Taman Garing does not carry a very good reputation of residents. Besides being the place where an Indonesian national lady was forced to live her son behind, it has also been the hideout of a lorry hijacking gang that turned to robbery by renting a house in this area and robbing his neighbours.Rawang has been on many property speculator's lists for years, but due to the poor integration of buildings and lack of proper and additional roads leading to the Kuala Lumpur city, property here has never quite boomed. Many people who cannot afford the outlandish prices being charged for properties in the city have moved to the outskirts in Rawang, and have had to contend with the terrible traffic congestion everyday.
