Section 22 is one of the many housing developments in Petaling Jaya in the state of Selangor that was developed during the British occupancy. These parcels of land and property are all more than 30 years old, located in a highly established area and all sits on freehold land. Major shopping malls such as Mid Valley Megamall, One Utama and Tropicana City Mall are all under a 30-minute drive. There are many excellent national primary and secondary schools in the vicinity, while the closest medical centre is the University Hospital at Section 11.Section 22 is well connected via a host of roads, with the most significant one being Jalan Semangat which connects to the Federal Highway and to various parts of Petaling Jaya through a myriad of inner roads. A number of public busses pass through the main road Jalan Baiduri SS1/22, while the closest train stations are the Paramount LRT, Asia Jaya LRT and the Taman Jaya LRT station.

    When buying a home in Section 22, Petaling Jaya, buyers should check the quality of the house with care before purchase as many of the homes are either very old or have been newly renovated recently. As such the price paid should follow the condition of the home, and not just the hype of its better built and renovated neighbour which might also be on the market.Buying a home in the neighbourhood of Section 22 can be perilous not just because of the buyer's unwary purchase, but also because of the peak hour traffic congestion which is a daily nightmare. The traffic is usually worse during the Ramadan period as many people visit the numerous stalls that open in Section 14 for "breaking fast" in the evenings.As the roads in Section 22 were never meant to cater to a few thousand vehicles at the same time, motorists can usually get stuck here for an average period of 2 hours. However, traffic is nowhere near as unmanageable during normal working days, therefore residents need not get stuck in traffic for hours at a time daily.Section 22 is an excellent purchase as an investment, as it sits on prime land in a prime area that is highly sought after by the higher income groups. As such many speculators have bought the very limited properties that have came their way. These homes are also highly suitable to bring up families, making it an excellent permanent home as well.
