Section 11 is a residential estate, a precinct of Petaling Jaya. It is located in the centre of Section 10, Section 12 and University Malaya. It is adjacent to Federal Highway. There are few schools as well, SRK Sri Petaling, SMK Sultan Abdul Samad, SMK (L) Bukit Bintang and Catholic High School. There is also German International School located just a stone's throw away. There are also temples and churches in Section 10 and 52, while 2 mosques are just located in International Islamic University and University Malaya. Section 11 is well-connected by Federal Highway which runs besides it. Besides that, it is near to Sprint Highway and New Pantai Expressway (NPE) accesses. It is also just few miles away from Taman Jaya and Asia Jaya RapidKL LRT stations.

Even though the houses in Section 11 are old and leasehold, there is good demand for residential here. It is mostly because of its location and family-friendly amenities nearby. However, traffic around the vicinity is very terrible and horrifying during peak hours. One has to wait along a very long queue to access Federal Highway from Jalan Universiti and Jalan Utara at most times. But that is not too bad as it is just about 5 minutes away to Mid Valley City during good traffic and 20 minutes during peak time.Section 11 used to be a very safe area in the past, where walking out in the evenings for exercise was a safe a pleasant activity. The situation has however changed drastically in the recent years, with armed robberies and snatch thefts becoming rampant. The main suspects are the many Indian nationals who roam the area, resulting in many traffic patrols in the area nowadays in an attempt to curb crime.Rat infestations have also become a problem for the residents in Section 11, especially the ones whose homes are are positioned close to the sole row of shops which hosts two mamak shops; as the store owners rent houses in the area to store their food which attract plenty of rodents. Although it is comparatively still a very nice, quiet and peaceful place to live in, residents are now more cautious when walking the streets alone after dark.
