The State Government of Selangor has designated Bandar Puncak Alam and its neighboring towns such as Batang Berjuntai and Batu Arang to be the "Education Town", where 20 tertiary institutions will be housed upon completion, including Universiti Industri Selangor, a Malaysia-Japan Technical University, as well as the 15th UiTM campus.
